Last night I went to go see Rob Bell in Oklahoma City on his 'Everything is Spiritual' Tour. I really enjoyed what he had to say, although if you listen to the sermons from his church's website here, then you have already heard about 90% of the information. What I thought was interesting was that they were serving beer at the venue, so I thought I would get one. I felt like the only person in the place who enjoys a beer. I had people watching me from every direction with every gulp of the delicious beer.
I'm not exactly sure what exactly I am trying to say. I guess I think Rob is good and I think Beer is good. I also think God is good. What do you think?

I think Tank is good.
I agree on two counts...I've heard lots about rob bell, but I've never heard him directly. However, beer and God definitely are good. Little moments like this where a follower of Christ allows himself to enjoy beer responsibly while "Christians" shift uncomfortably sitting near him (covering their kids' eyes and looking askance) sets the pace for Christians as much as it does for non-Christians. We gotta lose this outward perceptions stuff that's not even Biblical. Lead on, Tank!
p.s. What brand was this "delicious beer"? Because if it was Bud Lite, I'm willing to be just as condemnatory as the rest of them. :)

I must say, Nate is right on. I looked at the selection and no Boulevard. But I really enjoyed Rob.
Corona= 64% delicious.
Sam Adams= the golden standard of deliciousness (with the exception of Summer Ale)
Busch Light= -345% delicious.
There's the continuum for you (in my opinion). Plenty of blanks to fill in. :)
I just got back from seeing Rob in Virginia. The beer was flowing...I didn't see one person that was not drinking, including myself. Of course I am not in the Bible belt anymore. Great Show! And by the way the beer to drink is Red Stripe.

Last night I bathed in beer while listening to Rob Bell's podcast. Of course I used Natural Light because it was the cheapest way to fill my tub. My body now exudes the stench of 15hr. old beer and my mind races with Bell's presentation of the String theory....mmmmmmmmm *sigh*
beer is good, i would have to agree with you there. I don't know if i could go as far as saying american beer is good though... ;)

I found your blog because I did a google on "I think beer is good". Is there anything more to say about that, really? Searches on a lark for specific phrases is always gold. Somehow I got a whole bunch of scifi and fantasy art which isn't really a bad thing either. Maybe not as good as beer. Other links from that one are not-so-bad but now I sound like a spammer, so VIAGRA 4 CHEEP!@
