I saw this label posted on Dan Kimball's blog here. I am not posting this saying that I think this is correct, only interesting. The idea that so many people are comfortable reading some of the content of the Bible, but not comfortable when they run into the same or less descriptive writing in other literature. And to top it all off Christians will let their children read the Bible which is full of violence, sexuality, etc, but many people my age were not allowed to watch the Smurfs or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (or TMNT on the streets).

Dude, your wife's video blog is hilarious. I laughed outloud at the Taco Bueno bit. Sounds like you should get the "day shift."

hey, found your blog through relevant boards.

the Bible does have lots of content that would be rated highly if it were to be rated.

the ninja turtles point was well made.

but that sticker is still full of shit. the Bible doesn't advocate most of that stuff it describes it. plus some of the things (undermining authority, alcohol) are not always wrong. context!

the fact that that stuff is mentioned in the Bible is true. but the sticker seems to come from a very anti-bible perspective and as such just seems angry. the intent was likely very negative.
